Though this market is open all day long, the stalls selling fish, meat and fresh vegetables start to close after 1pm. At night, food restaurants and clothes shops on the street beside the market are jammed with Saigonese and travelers who want to taste local food and buy T-shirts with Saigon’s images on it and handcrafts.

Bitexco Financial Tower in District 1, which is a nice place among the non-historical things to do in Saigon, is where to go for unrivalled views of the city. Costing between VND 130,000 – 160,000 (USD $5.7-7), a juice or a coffee is cheaper and tastier than going only for the observation deck.
