Located on the bank of Tien River at 225A Nguyen Hue Street, Sa Dec Town, Dong Thap Province, the wonderfully atmospheric 1895 residence which was once the residence of Huynh Thuy Le, is the town’s biggest attraction. For French film and culture lovers, especially those who have fallen in love with the novel L’Amant (The Lover) of the famous writer Marguerite Duras, this lovely courtyard house with a mixture of Southern Vietnamese, Chinese and French architectural designs is a must stop.

French style outside but Vietnamese design inside, this Sino-French house with original floor tiles, heavy ancient wooden furniture and treasure trove of ancient objects, which observed the passionate love between Marguerite Duras and Huynh Thuy Le, which is thought to be the male character in the The Lover story, is also a place to visit for any architecture enthusiasts.
