Weather- the most important factor in developing tourism in Vietnam

Weather is always the first factor in tourist’s decision making. The weather in Vietnam in 2 regions the North and the South is not the same and it belongs to tropical kind. If you are visiting Hanoi, you can see that the weather here is typical of the Northern climate with four seasons.

  1. Autumn- a poetic beauty

About the perks, I would say it is not too extreme. There are sometimes during the year that the weather might get really hot or really cold the autumn’s ambiance is very pleasant and comfortable.

The best time to visit Vietnam in Autumn is the period of August and October. Someone said that: “the tourist visiting Hanoi is special fond of the autumn”. It is definitely true. What is better than holding hands with a person you love while strolling around West Lake or taking Hanoi cycling tour in autumn. Not too hot or too cold, autumn is the best choice for wedding season with its color changing when the yellow leaves start falling down to be scattered on the streets. The fall of Hanoi is also the “Com” season which is considered the best green sticky rice and has become the eternal love in Vietnamese cuisine. Any travelers come to Vietnam that time should visit Vong village- one of the most ancient villages located in the Hanoi center and try to taste this typical handmade flavor.

Not only in Hanoi but also in other areas located in the North and Central of Vietnam, autumn is always absolutely the most beautiful and emotional season of the year. If you are planning to visit Ha Giang in autumn, don’t forget to enjoy pink and white buckwheat flowers bloom in the mountainous province.

  1. Spring- the season of a thousand festival

If you missed that moment I’ve told above and you’re a kind of person who is really terrified of the cold, and you don’t think you can get out of your bed in the early morning, to be honest, don’t hesitate visiting Vietnam in spring. Thanks to its comfortable weather condition, springtime also brings a stunning opportunity to experience the region at its most beautiful and inspiring. The first month of the lunar calendar in Vietnam is the month of celebrations when thousands of festivals are held in all regions from rural areas to modern cities such as Huong pagoda festival, Lim festival in Bac Ninh, Yen Tu in Quang Ninh.etc. Not only a time for people express their gratitude to national heroes and ancestors but it is a chance to let their hair down after a hard working year

It is definitely the perfect time to decorate for Vietnam Tet holiday– the largest and most important traditional occasion of Vietnamese. Tet is the most special holiday that fully features colors of Vietnam 54 ethnic groups. The new year festival of Thai ethnic, Gong festival of Muong people or the husband-catching festival of Chu Ru community in Lam Dong province, etc will also be showcased to visitors. Especially in Bac Ha district- Northern mountainous Lao Cai province, a traditional New Year horse race of H’mong ethnic group is an expected festival for you.

  1. Summer for avid travelers

During the summer months, the weather is really hot. Temperature can reach up to 39 degree Celsius, which is blistering hot. Many people hate it because of the heat, but first of all, there are some kinds of energetic and refreshing vibes about the summer. In the summer, you can do a lot of things: walking under the sea in Nha Trang, Kayaking in Halong Bay or enjoy the beautiful sunlight in white sands in Central beaches. Basically, it is easier to be healthy in the summer. If you’re an avid traveler and have an enthusiasm for the ocean, what is the better time to sit back and relax on a beautiful beach than summertime, right?

  1. Winter- a different world with snow

The last favorite season is obviously wintering. Let’s take a trip to the North region which is home to different ethnic minorities in winter to definitely enjoy the special winter here. The air is absolutely freezing and the sun is not very bright. If you’re a big fan of trekking, what is better than spending your time to conquer Fansipan- the highest peak of Indochina. Although Fansipan in Sapa is a must-see all year round, sitting on the top of a mountain and admiring the magical beauty which brought some snow around in winter is worth the effort.

It might be fascinating to witness how the ethnic people endure the cold winter throughout the season and how simple their lives are. Besides enjoying stunning scenes, you can join some local activities by booking a homestay. Having happy water( rice wine) after finishing a cooking class with locals is the best way to escape the freezing outside. In addition, local markets of ethnic people is also a highlight in mountainous tours.

To be quite honest, the weather in Vietnam has a lot of advantages for developing tourism. Each passing season, Vietnam has a private beauty that tourist cannot ignore. Let’s visit here to absolutely enjoy the air, landscape, and culture here.
